Orami Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 19, 2026

Orami is a browser extension that lets users send images from a paired mobile device to an open ChatGPT tab on their computer.

Information Orami handles

Orami handles images that the user intentionally selects or captures for transfer. The image is encrypted on the mobile device before it is uploaded to the Orami relay service.

Orami also handles technical information required to establish a secure pairing and deliver the transfer, including a temporary pairing code, encryption metadata, and temporary file metadata.

Encryption and transfer

Images are encrypted on the mobile device using AES-GCM. The encryption key is protected using the paired computer's RSA public key. The relay service receives and transfers the encrypted image data; it is not designed to decrypt the image. The paired computer decrypts the image locally before attaching it to ChatGPT.

Temporary storage

Encrypted image files are temporarily stored by the relay service only for delivery. The Orami server is configured to expire stored files after a short period and removes a file after successful delivery acknowledgement.

How information is used

Information handled by Orami is used only to provide its core phone-to-PC image transfer functionality, secure pairing, and reliable delivery. Orami does not sell user data and does not use transferred images for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes.

Accounts and tracking

Orami does not require users to create an Orami account. The extension does not intentionally collect browsing history, keystrokes, health information, financial information, or location data.

Third-party services

Orami uses a hosted relay server to transfer encrypted data between the user's devices. The relay service is infrastructure for the extension's single purpose and is not intended to inspect or use the contents of transferred images.

Data retention

Temporary encrypted transfer files are automatically expired by the relay service. Pairing information is also temporary and expires after the configured pairing period.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Orami's data practices or functionality change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
